Ages and Program
Campers are rising K - rising 4th grade. Our campers enjoy daily outings, hiking, art, stem, sports, drama, cooking, specialists, swimming, and more!
Cost
Sliding scale of $350-$425 per week
Why the sliding scale?
We know that stimulating and enriching summer programs are important to a child's development, and we want to make sure our camp is accessible to all families. The lower end of the sliding scale is the discounted rate, the upper end of the sliding scale is the true representation of the cost of camp. Families can choose how much they are able to pay in this range.
Food
We will provide 2 kosher and wholesome snacks AND a lunch daily. Parents need to send only a labeled water bottle.
Location
Camp takes place at the beautiful outdoor space of a home on Butterfield Rd in San Anselmo. Using vans for transportation, the children will go on daily excursions to parks, playgrounds, nature hikes, as well as swim at least 3x/week. We are outside 80% of the day!
What are the children doing at camp?
- Learning to care for our foster chicks
- Enjoying daily organized sports game/swimming (we swim 3x a week)
- Daily science, art, baking, or cooking
- Specialties with instructors: i.e., slacklining, drumming, balloon sculpting.
- Daily excursions, including hikes in nature and nearby playgrounds
- Special field trip: i.e., ranch, honey farm, animal farm.
- Celebrating Jewish Culture
- Making friends, presenting shows, being silly, laughing, singing, and having a wickedly spirited time!
Will my child feel comfortable in camp?
Yes, and yes, and yes! JAMS Jewish Summer Camp is made up of campers from all backgrounds. All children enjoy a shared Jewish spirit through songs and activities.
Working in Camp
We invite rising 8th graders + to apply to work in camp. This is a great camp to work in! We offer a lot of support to the counselors and give them the tools they need to be responsible leaders and confidence builders. Please email hadassa@jewishwestmarin.org for more information.
